Estimated to be from the early 17th century and of the Teppo School. In the mokko shape and of hammered iron with Hachiman deity of war symbols of cross fire arrows, firing through wishing jewel and a Bonji (sanskrit) character "Ban" as part of magic incantation. The reverse of the tsuba features Shinto symbols with the mimi in the uchikaeshi style. This is a large tsuba and would fit a large range of Katana sizes.
