I-Beam Blunt Longsword Trainer - designed by Angus Trim (Atrim)
Angus Trim developed this style of HEMA training sword (he coined it I-Beam after the profile design) a while back to solve two problems - Tapered blunts with thin edges that were quickly chewed up and thick blunts that handled like crow bars. The massive central fuller allows for more metal at the edge while keeping the sword lively in the hand.  The blade is crafted from quality 9260 spring steel which is expertly heat treated to garner a hard yet tough characteristic, ideal for the rigours of blade on blade contact.  The full tang is then mounted with stainless steel fittings and peened for extra strength and historical authenticity.  The timber scabbard is covered in quality leather which is fitted with a matching heavy leather scabbard mouth and stainless steel drag.
