The iconic Roman Imperial Gallic style helmet was in use from the late Republic to the 3rd century.   Influenced by the Celtic styles of the period the helmet features brass scroll details above brow to add strength.  There is also a seperate steel brow guard to help deflect downward blows away from the face.   The semi circular neck guard synonymous with the Roman helm, is convex to help with deflection.  Our helmet is crafted from wearable quality 18 gauge, 1.2mm steel, with a padded liner and cheek guards and brass accents.
