Taking its name from the conical "loaves" in which sugar was formerly sold, this Great Helm was popular during the Crusades of the 14th century. Providing full head protection, its conical top deflected blows much more efficiently than its flat-topped predecessors. Crafted in 16 ga. steel, 1.6mm steel leather lined and ready for actual wear. A brass cross piece is added to the face for extra decoration with drilled breathing holes like the originals.
